Tuesday February 19, 2019 GOD whispered in my ear, wake up my daughter. As I laid down starring in my dark silent bedroom, I reached over to grab my iPhone and glanced at the time. It was 5:00 am. I decided to go to my instagram link to check my page and came across Victoria Beckham's feed that read, "So incredibly sad to hear this. Karl was a genius and always so kind and generous to me both personally and professionally. RIP 💔x vb Maybe I was dreaming, I said to myself. So in disbelief, I logged onto google to verify the information I'd just received, to only find out it wasn't a dream, but in fact reality. Tears started to fall from my eyes as the world of fashion has just loss one of the most passionate, creative, clothing connoisseur of my generation. Being born into fashion as well as the music industry, I learn to appreciate quality at a very young age. My mother, Iconic fashion designer, Linda Stokes, of LSO DESIGN, began her passion for fashion at the age of 8. Designing and making 90% of her senior classmate's prom dresses, while attending high school. She has created for such Icon's as Beyonce, Macy Gray, Kobe Bryant, Jennifer Lopez, Gwen Stefani, Andre 3000, Ceelo Green, Celine Dion, Ozzy Osborne, Faith Hill, Shakira, Cher, Jay Z many more. My sister and I grew up with our mother custom making our clothes. Being young, we didn't understand her greatness!!!! We wanted to wear the designers that all our friends we're rocking, we didn't understand it at the time but we would learn to appreciate her talents later on.

My mother's greatest influences in fashion we're the likes of iconic designers such as Theirry Mugler and John Paul Gaultier. My greatest influencers just so happen to be my Mother, Azzedine Alaia, and the King Karl Lagerfeld. To the date, if I'm not wearing the designs of LSO, then you will most definitely see me in Chanel or Fendi. Not only did Karl Lagerfeld design for the classy, upscale,
privilege, sophisticated royal women, he was able to stay current with the fashion trends of today's young millennial female such as my daughter, Milan Christian Dior, who also has earned a degree in fashion. Hence on why I named her as such. The fashion industry has truly lost an icon.
